Old Chatham July 4 Parade

Old Chatham’s annual July 4 parade drew a classic sampler of small-town life: dogs on leashes, couples walking hand in hand, an elderly Chevy Camaro carrying the hamlet’s perennial beauty queen, a three-generation family walking together and pulling a wagon, two tractors, a preschool’s children, a classic car, and more — all led by a fire truck from Tri-Village Fire Company. Volunteer firefighters managed the large crowd. Residents gathered around the flagpole for patriotic songs and readings.
